Lotus Elise ’11

Everyone’s favorite crazy little car, the Lotus Elise! There is always talk about how well this car drives and how it can handle better than anything else on the market. I was originally given this tune by Andrew Lodge and it really did handle really well. Better than anything I have ever driven before. Literally able to turn on a dime. However, this wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. It would turn way too quick than what I was use to and I would always crash. On bigger tracks, I would usually spin out or the rear would slide around. I figured it was just the tune and a couple of changes would make it work better than ever, but I was wrong. Everything I tried just didn’t work how I wanted it to. It has taken me a very long time, but I finally have something I like driving around. It is still pretty crazy, but nothing like it once was. I prefer to drive it at smoother tracks as it is very stiff and its low weight causes it to take off and fly when going over bumps. If you think there will be a bump or a turn that is just too sharp, I find it best to let off the gas and cruise around it. If you slam on the gas or on the brakes that is when you will run into trouble. Once you give it a few laps and really understand how it works it becomes a ton of fun. Plus, just look at it. Looks gorgeous.
