Dodge Charger 440 R/T ’70

One of the most iconic muscle cars ever. Been in tons of films like “Bullit” as the villain car. For some reason this car is always used as the villain’s car. I assume that is because it looks pure evil in a good way. I painted mine matte black with chrome rims, but matte black with matte black rims look super stealthed out. Normally when you think muscle car you are expecting a sinister driving experience. This car could be an insane monster, but this tune is actually the exact opposite of what you would expect. Basically picture a tough looking muscle car body on a Rolls Royce Phantom chassis. That is what this car reminds me of since it drives so smooth and doesn’t get crazy at all. I have never seen a muscle car drive this well so I was super impressed. Very easy to drive and lap times were great too. If you want it a bit more aggressive I suggest stiffen the suspension up by 1 and raise the LSD just a touch. Obviously this will release the beast making it a lot more difficult to drive.

Made by Cody Pilon.

P.S. I also have a drift version of this car

can you do a drag tune for this

    • I haven’t had the best luck with muscle car drag tunes. They have so much Torque the tires just spin and usually aren’t super fast.

  • Rush

    Thanks,
But I don’t understand how to tune the transmission.
If I set it to top speed, then I’m unable to select the ratio’s you reccomend.
    Please advise.
    Thanks.

    • Set top speed first, then the gears, then the final gear. If the individual gears are close enough to what I have that’s fine.

      • Rush

        Thank’s
I’m such an IDIOT, I wasn’t even tuning the right car.
I was tuning my Challenger. HAHA
I’m the laughing stock – deservedly.

Now, let me tune the right car and we might get somewhere.

I’d love you to do a tuning of the Challenger non racing version though. 😉

        • Lol ya I get that a lot.

  • Hunter

Could you tell me your exhaust setup please?

  • Hunter

    On your 70s dodge charger

    • Probably the best one. If you need to double check you can view your hp vs your hp. Also, make sure to do an oil change for max power.

  • Hunter

    Ok thanks

  • Hunter

My 70s charger only 819 hp and I did the tune that you did and it only has 819 hp and yours has 842 hp and I have all the best parts I think

    • Double check you have the best of all parts and make sure to do an oil change

  • Hunter

Nevermind I had the semi-racing exhaust notbth3 racing exhaust

  • Hunter

You now what’s funny is that the setup that I used is that it’s awesome for drag racing!

  • Valentin Saldutti

Do you know how can i make a wheelie tune for this car?

    • It’s not possible. I have tried before.
