Gran Turismo Racing Kart 125 Shifter

When Gran Turismo 6 first came out the Kart racing was very difficult and tuning it was even harder. It has been a few months now and I think they have had updates to make it slightly easier. I struggled with this particular kart because it was the the hardest to control. One thing I have found making this tune is do not worry at all about every single cart passing you at the start. For some reason they have coded it this way. I tried many transmission setups and the AI would always accelerate much faster at the start than I. This tune however has a higher top speed compared to the others so overall you will win. I didn’t actually find it too hard anymore and I don’t think it is just me becoming a better driver.

A few tips for the event is on the first race on the first corner brake sooner and wrap the cart on the inside of the corner. I started very wide and left even wider due to the speed going in, but it is much faster to enter close and leave wide. Everywhere else is basically just drive and don’t go off the road at all.

For the second race I didn’t find any real special tips other than don’t let any tires touch off the road. Drafting the other carts can also make you go faster. I didn’t think it would matter too much since they are so small, but it does help a lot.

The third race is super hard still. I came 2nd more times than I can count. Biggest tip I can give is on the second corner where it is very sharp is to stick to the inside the whole way. I would enter close and exit very wide and that will slow you down a lot. Practise is only thing that can help you with this one. Get some coffee or something and just focus on going fast.

I won the 1st two races with your setup. Then from your setup I changed the top speed to 75mph, then changed gearing:

    1st – 3.588
    2nd- 2.701
    3rd – 2.261
    4th – 1.950
    5th – 1.623
    6th – 1.337

    Final Gear – 4.300

I’m intermediate at best and won 1st place in third race using your tip along with relaxing around the sharp turns a as much as possible. It took me 4 or 5 tries to get it after finishing 5th place in Championship. Hope this helps. Good luck!
